With the Preseason schedule coming out yesterday, I thought this would be a good time as any to dust off the Patriots/NFL scheduling prediction contest.

Here are the Patriots opponents for the 2010-2011 season:

Home opponents: Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Colts, Packers, Vikings, Ravens, Bengals

Road opponents: Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Bears, Lions, Chargers, Browns, Steelers

OK, the rules are easy:

All you have to do is predict who the Pats will play in their FIRST regular season game (Week 1) and the LAST regular season game (week 17.)

You can specify home or away for divisional opponents, but its not necessary. Getting the 2 teams right is whats important.

Entries must be in this thread, you only get one entry per screen name.

Entries will be accepted until the day the NFL schedule comes out this month.

Is there a prize? Well, it wouldn't be much of a contest with a prize now would it?!

The winner receives $200,000 Patriots Planet Casino Dollars from my own personal stash!! (If there is more then one winner, it will be split up equally.) Plus, the always-coveted Planet bragging rights until next year. :D Remember: You must get BOTH correct to win!

OK.. Thats it! I'll get the ball started:

Week 1: At Browns

Week 17: At Dolphins

Good luck to all!! :thumb:

1. Bills
17. Chargers

Won't make any predictions but it I noticed on the Pats official site that all 4 preseason games are against NFC teams which I don't ever remember happening before. Usually its 2 from each conference most years.

1 - At Chi

17 - Miami

Nope. The Chicago game will be in November sometime, it will be unseasonably warm, and the Pats will win.

Every Pats game I've gone to has been in November. It has been unseasonably warm... Hell, the Pats/Bears game I went to in Foxborough was the weekend after Thanksgiving and I didn't even need a coat. And the Pats have won every game (twice in awesome fashion: Pats at Bears in 02 and Pats at Indy in 03).

Guess what game I'm going to this year???

November.

I'm pretty sure Goodell announced last week that week 17, possible even 16, were going to be division games. So that should narrow it down.

1. Jets (home)
8. Colts
17. Bears

I think mikiemo already posted this but I wanted it anyway:

1. At Chicago
17. Miami (home)

SHHHHHH .....this lack of knowledge about Goodells plans was helping me look good

No, joke... I had completely forgotten about that. So me picking a division game to end the year was pretty good. :)

But yeah, probaby don't want to advertise things that will give you an advantage. ;)

Week 1 @ Jets
Week 17 Miami @ Gillette

I'm gonna give the rest of it away now.

The Jets were pissed that the Giants get to open in the new stadium on Sunday, so Goodell is gonna give the Jets the opening Monday night game in all likelihood. Opening Monday night, new stadium for the Jets, they're going to make this a big game. What bigger opponent for the Jets than the Patriots?

Ergo, Monday night, Pats @ Jets, game 1

I expect this too, I think it was tossed out as a rumor when the Jets cried foul over the coin toss

I was thinking of this too... But I figured one of the Jets Pats game will be on Sunday Night Football and I doubt their going to put the other one on National TV as well.

My guess is for that first MNF game... Vikings at Jets. The two losers in the Championship game vs each other...Favres new team vs His old... All in the new stadium. Sounds like a big game to me!! :D (Of course, this could also end up as a Sunday Night Football game... So who the heck knows!1?!! lol)
