Sox Sign Crawford!!!!

uh, my various injuries have come in various forms of athletic competition, like Ellsbury's. Maybe if I was some fat, beer-swilling fukk sitting on my ass on the couch your point would have revelance. It doesn't

No, you're right. I'll totally start comparing your kiniesiology to that of professional athletes. What was I thinking? It's totally comparable.

First of all, I'm a native New Englander. I grew up surrounded by this bullshit negative attitude and didn't like it anymore then than I do now.

What's your point? You paint those that don't agree with you with the same broad brush?

seriously...Cameron played 48 fukken games last year, so you either have to be kidding or on drugs to make this comparison

I never made a comparison. You made a casino cash wager that Cameron and Beltre's HRs and RBI totals would equal or exceed Bay and Ortiz's. Not sure what else there is to say here.

umm, actually I don't remember this one.

You don't need to have remembered for it to have happened. If you need, I can look for the post for you.

actually, I'm not. Unlike the majority of fans who use no rational analysis, I actually do my homework before making my points.

Hey, if you want to whine, bitch, and act like an asshole with the rest of the crowd, be my guest. Just don't expect me to join you.

You mean you somtimes use certain stats to support your position? You realize what you preach isn't fact, right? I mean you realize that you're subject to fault too, right? Instead of blaming it on the water of where you came from or some other lame reasoning, you could just admit that your opinion might not jive with the majority or even if it does, is not the opinion of all. Just sayin.'

On Saturday, my brother became the proud owner of the first Crawford navy blue t-shirt sold in Boston.

(Looks like this, I'll post an actual pic of it later).

I, of course, also bought one. These two Sox fans are looking forward to roaming around Tampa this weekend with our Sox shirts.

We did enjoy plenty of positive comments as we wore them around Boston/Providence this weekend though. :thumb:

Uh, wasn't OZO drafted, or played high level D-I college ball or something? Unless I'm misremembering, it's pretty comparable. Or at least a helluva lot closer than for most of us.

Most of us aren't trying to compare random other body parts to Ellsbury's injuries. I don't see it as comparable at all and anyone who does is foolish IMO. Sorry, brah(s).

EDIT: Nevermind

Just saying, it's not like if I compared my injury to a pro athlete's. He actually played the same sport at a very high level. I don't know which injuries were compared (I wasn't sure if he was saying he'd actually broken a rib before, or was comparing it to the ligament damage), but I wouldn't blow off the comparison for the reason you gave.

I've got no dog in this fight, though. Not even sure why I bothered replying.

Well to add detail to the discussion it was in reference to an Achilles heel injury he had re-inured twice this year.

Not even remotely comparable.

Also, FTR my "EDIT" that I edited had nothing to do with you whatsoever.

I was scouted as a high school/college player, but I knew I would never get out of single or Double A. I decided to focus on my academics instead.

I do know, as a hitter, that having a rib injury would be extremely painful, as the rotation of your torso is immensely important for getting any power on your swing.

Your throwing motion also can be severely hampered by a rib injury.

I know that a lot of his teammates were on him about his injury, but I'm honestly not sure how many of them have actually had a RIB injury. That's completely different from a lot of other injuries. You're in pain simply from breathing.

Just my 2 cents.
