Teh official Taltos "circle rep thread" #2

Taking the kids to Great Wolf Lodge in Chicago in May and two friends and their kids are going also. I made reservations months ago and paid the minimal amount needed, paid the rest today. Going to be nice to go and not have to pay for anything except what we spend there once we get there.
Have fun!

Muzzling is very common among Alpha canids.
It works great for disciplining a misbehaving puppy. Don't say a word, just wrap your hand around his muzzle and hold his head still with your other hand. Firm pressure but not hurtful.
Hold your hand there until your pup stops moving/fighting it. Wait 2 seconds then look your pup in the eyes and whisper good pup. Done. They learn quickly. Never let go while the pup is fighting you. Should only last a few seconds. Stubborn dogs (terriers) may take 15-20 seconds so prepare to hold on. Sometimes you need a 2nd person to hold the hind feet down on the ground. Once done, do it daily just because to keep your alpha status.

DNF laid egg number two!

From Raptor Resource Project:

February 18, 2024: DNF & the two eggs - Lovely DNF is dozing in the nest. She opens both eyes at 12 seconds and gets up at 45 seconds. She carefully steps off the eggs and rolls them, giving us a very brief glimpse before she settles back down.

February 19, 2024: Early morning shift-change: Look for Mr. North perched in a tree near the nest when the video opens. He flies out to the nest at 35 seconds. DNF greets him with a soft vocalization and gets up from the eggs. It's been a long night and she wants to stretch her wings. She vocalizes a few times and flies off to a favorite perch. Mr. North assumes his shift under IR candlelight, although the North Eagles' Great Wall makes it hard to see the eggs!

February 20, 2024: Beautiful view of both eggs at shift change - We finally got a glimpse of the eggs! They look lovely nestled in their bed of soft golden grass: the perfect setting for two beautiful jewels!
