Thank GOD for the Bahamas...who would have thunk it???!!!

Annihilus is a Republican (mostly). He lives in Minnesota, so has hardly been brainwashed by Massachussetts.

Dr Dobson would say you are a Republican in name only,he says that of any pro choice/pro gay republican.thats your right!

As far as casting stones.Im a sinner just repeating what the bible says. Was not judging.....Would it have been better if I had said no,the Bible is wrong,Jesus was wrong, homosexuality is okay, the Bible and Jesus are lying??Would that then be okay with you??

The saddest thing here really is that not 1 single person here would even come forward and say....yes Im a Christian and im not afraid to stand up for Jesus and admit that the Bible clearly states that homosexuality and abortion are both sins as well as stealing cheating etc etc.

The Bible goes a step farther and uses the very rare word abomination in regards to homosexuality.I said sin is sin,but isnt it interesting that the word abomination was only used once in the Bible and for homosexuality????

I will admit that this was the wrong forum to post this.

In closing I just repeat that its sad that there is no one out there in this forum that believes what the Bible/Jesus says .Even with the disclaimer,Uncle Vic is a total moron but I have to stand up for my dear saviour Jesus who is deeply against abortion and homosexuality.Courage....

Dunno who Dr Dobson is, but he can kiss Annihilus's ass.

Just because someone doesn't adopt an entire party's platform, doesn't mean they don't subscribe to the other parts. It's just plain stupid to accept a party's platform without questioning any of it (especially if you don't agree with a certain part of it). Otherwise, how is a party supposed to survive if it can't adapt with the times?

If the entire party thought like you, it would be dead in a matter of years.

I will admit that this was the wrong forum to post this.

You got that right.

Annihilus's parents are Christians...but you'd never catch them spewing this crap to anyone. It's not their job to save the world....only themselves. If your intention is to save people, you've got a long way to go to learn how to do it.

Calling someone's beliefs an abomination isn't the way to go, regardless of what the Bible says or doesn't say.

FYI Anni, the "Dr. Dobson" he's referring to is James Dobson, a Christian leader who has made himself quite wealthy by writing books and syndicating a radio program (called "Focus on the Family") about how to raise your kids. Conservative Christians lap up whatever he spouts.

This attitude of "you're either with us or against us" when it comes to ChristiaNazis and Republicans is truly disturbing. If everybody who believes abortion should be legal actually voted Republican, there would be very few Republican office holders, since polls show a majority of Americans support abortion rights. Therefore, there must not be very many "true" Republicans out there, at least in Fuhrer Dobson's view.

I have argued for years that it is stupidity like this that turns people off from Christianity. ChristiaNazis love to blame alcohol, the media, pornography, drugs, etc. etc. etc.; but the truth of the matter is most people who aren't Christian don't want to be because they don't want to have to live like the Puritans.

I think clowns like Dobson and Uncle Vic are going to have an awful big surprise waiting for them once their lives on this world end. Somehow I don't think God appreciates His name being used to spout bigotry and make obscenely large profits.

It does

The fact that the bible has been translated many times over hardly makes this a compelling case. Kind of curious about how you feel about selling women into slavery or sending them out of town during their periods?

I'll choose to believe what my own eyes, ears and feelings tell me. I'm not interested in some perverted interpretation of a piece of fiction...one that's been rewritten so many times over the years that it's impossible for even christians to agree on what it says.

You are truly a bigoted piece of shit. Enjoy life in your miserable little corner of make-believe.

Vic,

I m pro- life but also realize it is not my body carrying the child. I also support the troops because they are american men and woman. I also believe that homosexuals have the same rights in life as you do, relationships are part of those rights. The Bible says to love thy neighbor and fellow man, not to pass judgement.

You are a very unholy man, a self proclaimed sinner, who seeks forgivness for wrongfull acts. Is this so you can do what you want but still get into heaven? Why not cut out the sins and try to live a christian life? Why not try to better yourself before you cast stones at others?

The same people you show your displeasure with are the same ones that admit you have the right to. The people you call sinners are just like you Vic, living their life they way they choose. Who are you to pass judgement? your a sinner also. You choose to commit sins.

Vic, Clean up your house before giving out advice to others on how to keep theirs clean.

I am also a sinner, I know it and try not to repeat my sins. I also question a great deal of what is being taught in the church today and if it is actually Gods word or the twisted thoughts of a sinner like me and you

You are a funny man Vic.

If you actually believe half the stuff you are preaching, you are so lost in hypocrisy that there is no hope for you. I suggest you educate yourself some more and layoff trying to enlighten anyone else until you have more firm background on what you are trying to talk about.

The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision. ~Lynn Lavner

Hey I can take it,no problem

We only can become a Christian after admitting to God/Christ that we are dirty rotten sinners that deserve to burn in hell.I deserve to burn in hell, there is no good in me,or any of you for that matter. All man kind is rotten to the core, that is why Jesus died on the cross for our sins.He has already told us repeatedly that not one of us is good enough to be saved by our own goodness. That is why he blead and suffered and died on the cross for us.

Once you receive him you are required to share with others.Christ uses imperfect people because thats all he has to work with. There are very few conditions on our part,Jesus has done it all on the cross. One of the conditions is that we believe what he says about our sins,we must confess them and turn from them.Homosexuality is one of them.If we chose to say that this is not a sin, and die in this state,we only have eternal separation from God to look forward to.That goes for all of us and all the many sins.We have to accept Jesus what he said and did or reject.Theres no middle ground.

God be Merciful to me a sinner,is really all he needs to hear from us.

A person that lives a great life and shows kindness to the poor and gives of him or herself and does not accept Christ is lost for eternity.I did not make the rules,Sorry?

Yes it is scary! When we say that our sin is not sin, there is no hope for us.I on the other hand have told the Lord basically that I am a scumbag that deserves to burn in hell.I thank Jesus for dying on the cross for my many sins. When you say you have no sin you call God a liar.

Yes I have turned from my sins.

But Jesus said when you sin you have a understanding saviour that will continually forgive sins as we ask along the road of life. But you cant be forgiven for something that you say is not a sin.

Jesus loves children more than anything. You are teaching children that homosexuality is a good thing.By your acceptance of this lifestyle you are corrupting children.

Enough out of Uncle Vick, this has gone to far.

over and out.

Uncle Vic on the otherhand was a internet personality on a sports forum, not the perfect character, this is true!

IF YOU CURRENTLY BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS OK BY GOD then I suggest you are in no better shape spiritually than the homosexuals themselves.Same goes for abortion.

I will admit that is has been years since I have read from the Bible. It is not that I don't respect the book, just that I have a long reading list. So for this post I MUST rely on the accurateness of the Interent. If this isn't an accurate quote please someone call me on it but the only reference I could remeber from Bible study as a youth was . . .

"realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers" Rom 1:26-27

So it seems that the Bible is God's word and in God's own word homosexuals are no worse than kidnappers or liars or perjurers. So why aren't these religious zelots and less extremists pushing after the adbomination of Bush (a liar no less than any other politician) or Palmerio (the only pergerer I could think of) or Terell Owens (unholy -- ok I was kidding about that one). Is i because homosexuality is more appealing to them? Not saying they are gay, but it is exciting and different. Everyone lies. Who cares. Lies don't make headlines unless you take someone's life or money via extension of your lies. Why don't protesters show up at Dusty Baker's house every time a pitcher goes down with an arm injury and scream and hold signs about his impending firey afterlife as he spouts off about precautions and guestimates a timetable for return. Homosexuality is sexy (not that way, but in the media circus way). People know if they talk about it people will listen.

Finally, I have no problem (other than the original location of this post) with Vic or this discussion. He is merely stating what he believes and backing it up with what he feels are strong sources. He hasn't said that all gay people should be killed or that he is going to come into our house and force our children into fearing homosexuals. He simply stated his parenting skills and beliefs. It has raised some interesting debate on both sides. I don't think he has hurt anyone based on their sex nor tried to strip anyone of their rights (other than by voting for Bush -- zzzzingg).

But seriously this all started off with his argument for censorship. An important topic and one that should never leave the public dialoge. Is there a spot in our lives for censorship? If so where do you draw the line? How do you manage material that can be deemed dangerous or inappropriate? I firmly believe there should be no censorship what-so-ever, but I do think we could do a better job of managing content. My child (if my wife and I decide to have children) will not play Grand Theft Auto or listen to 50 cent until I deem the are intelligent enough to make a decision on what they are seeing and hearing. Also, my kid won't watch wrestling or football (if they even want to) until they understand that you can't use aggression to resolve every issue. So I guess in a sense I will be supporting censorship. However, I will NEVER protest to burn a book, cd or videogame. Just because it doesn't interest me or is suitable for my child make it evil or wrong for others to enjoy it.

I just don't try and suggest I know or understand everything and I suggest that others take that approach as well. However, it sure is fun to debate about it.

Poor Vic :jerkit:

I can see this is like talking to a brick wall... or the average troll.

So Vic, or Vick, or whatever the hell you call yourself... did you have to work at getting your head stuck so far up your ass or did it just get there naturally?

One can only hope this is a permanent decision. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who appreciate your Bible thumping, but I doubt there are any around here.

I find it funny how we can have a 20+ page thread on religion, Mormons, missionaries, and everything else done with great interest and civility, yet you can manage to create a worthless pile of dung with a single post.

On a side note, I'm very thankful for the Bahamas. Without them, we wouldn't have Bahama Breeze.

This sentence should be preserved for all posterity as an example of misguided religious zealotry run amok.

It's amazing that you could pack so much absurd mis-information into twenty-odd words.

God doesn't need me to tell him any of that, you freak.

In the future, when you get the urge to embarass yourself thoroughly in this forum or any other, I suggest you step back, take a couple of cleansing breaths and ask yourself:

What would Dougie do?

You should dropkick yourself the hell out of here and save us the trouble.

Technically, if a pony repeatedly shits itself, is that considered a "trick"?

Whoa Vic, chill brother. You will never make anyone believe if they don't want to. And trying to force it upon them is only going to make it worse.

I believe a lot of what you say (minus the really rude things). I try to live life according to the Bible, and you're right, we are all sinners and we will never be perfect on this earth. I believe in the things that the Bible states and that it teaches, so I am sure my veiws aren't as popular here as yours are.

BUT---
We are all here to make our own choices. I only think someone is a bad person, the kind I don't want to be around, if they are a killer or rapist or embezzling old ladies and such. I don't go as far to say who is going to hell and who isn't. That would be, say it with me, blasphemy. I am not going to hate anyone or chastize them for being gay or having an abortion. We all know what the Bible teaches on those subjects, but it isn't our place to try and convince others otherwise. Yes, we are supposed to spread the Gospel and His love, but face it, not everyone is going to accept it. Just like you can't accept gay people. I don't have a problem with it. Have you ever met a person that you liked and then found out they were gay? Did it make you hate that person, or did it break down any stereotypes and intolerances? I really hate abortion, and equally do I hate the broads that use it as birth control, but because of the innocent killing that goes on with it. I am not trying to call them out on it. Just avoid them, I guess. I'd rather hang out with 2 gay dudes than a girl like that. That, to me, is one of the most disgusting things.

Tolerance, there Vic. If you let go of the rage and put it on God (because he is the one that is supposed the deal with that stuff) you're life will be a lot better. Less stress and pain over subjects such as these. Trust me, I am a former member of the "haters" club, and life is better and healthier not trying to do His job. It makes you more compassionate toward all others, which can only be a good thing
