The Joe Cardona thread

5.

In the history of the league.

With a military commitment.

Nah. 5th round sounds justa bout right.

I recall seeing someplace (Reiss?) that a 5th round pick may help him get the exemption from military duty.

Basically the fact that the pats used a pick that high increases the "value" and that supposedly is a factor in the decision if they get the exemption or not.

To be fair, he's only blind in one eye.

Well that's a relief.

It might slow him down a bit using one of those collapsible sticks.

Or the dog in s harness might want to chew on the football every chance he can get it like mine.

Maybe we can convince the other guys to just throw left.

Yeah that's been covered.

These academy's are tough to get into. Stringent. And rigorous. There's a huge investment placed into each of these cadets. When they graduate I'm sure their respective branch is counting on a significant return on their investment.

They can't be happy about being pilfered. And this is the 3rd go from BB.

Does the dog count anainst the 53, or did they get the exemption?

Also, re the LS: as I recall from the Kyle Ecker days, the Navy may grant their release if there is a likely chance he will make the team. It wasn't the case with Ecker, but this kid seems like 60% or better of making the team.

As long as he's not missing his nose. That would be a heavy does of irony right there.

I think BB had a full-on middle finger (vodevil) draft...

his good eye

I don't know. I just thought I heard the analysts talking about that when they were talking about the old guy from Texas who ended up getting signed by Seattle immediately after the draft.

My assumption is that number is limited to LS specialists.
34 year old peace corps type of guy, joined green beret at 24 did 5 years and was a practice squad safety when he realized the top two LS both graduated and he told head coach he would return as his LS, when asked if he ever LS before he said no but would practice all summer.

signed by poodle pete right after the draft.

Fun Fact - The Patriots need a long snapper. Last year's play was not acceptable.

Yep. Very first game last season, 1st quarter, muffed long snap to Ryan Allen deep in Patriot territory, it's blocked, the Finns recover and score their 1st TD a couple of plays later. And there were more like that, some very lucky escapes.

Agreed. By the way this wasn't a sarcastic thread. I genuinely was impressed by that video ROFL
