Time to quickly turn the page and move on to Cleveland.

Honestly, I don't see how this game can be close. Mayfield has thrown just 5 TDs against 11 picks, he has a 66 QBR. The gap in coaching is enormous. I can see this game being over by halftime.

The current forecast is for rain, so that could be an equalizer.

How quickly can Sanu get involved? Will Gordon be available? Will Burkhead finally get back?

With a win this Sunday, BB will hit 300 wins.

Pretty good preview here. https://www.patriots.com/news/game-preview-browns-at-patriots

Some points:

  • When the Patriots run - Edge: Browns - New England only averaged 2.2 yards per carry against New York
  • When the Patriots pass - Edge: Patriots - Cleveland's secondary has been crippled with injuries yet the group has managed to stay competitive. Part of that has been the solid work of the pass rush, which accounted for 19 sacks in six games
  • When the Browns run - Edge: Patriots - Based on the way the defense has played as a whole, it's hard to imagine the Browns having enough success with Chubb to control the game
  • When the Browns pass - Edge: Patriots - No quarterback has thrown more interceptions this season than Baker Mayfield with 11. No defense has picked off more pass than the Patriots with 18
  • Special Teams - Edge: Patriots - Not much to choose from in this matchup but the Patriots seem to be making big plays when needed
  • New England's 18 picks are already more than the Patriots recorded in 25 of their previous 59 seasons.
  • The Patriots have three games with four interceptions this season, a feat they haven’t accomplished in the regular season since 1962

Gordon is at today's walk through.
Bennett is back from suspension.
Sanu made it to Foxboro for his 1st practice.

Sanu and Gordon at practice warm ups this am. Think he's happy much?
Sanu has been issued No. 14 and CB Justin Bethel gets No. 29.

I'd imagine Gordon is inactive as a precaution (especially with the weather). This game has 40-7 written all over it. Mayfield is terrible and the coaching mismatch is vast. Get a huge lead, rest some guys and get ready for Baltimore which should be a legit battle.

As a guy who loves history and Paul Brown, I imagine BB would LOVE win #300 this week. Guys are going to be highly motivated, and the Browns are not playing well, so I can't imagine this being anything other than another stomp. Not sure Sanu will see more than a handful of snaps on a very limited play package, but I do suspect he'll see the field as they try to see how well he can translate what he learns in practice to play in a live game.

Really? I didn't think coach would talk smack like that. Nice.

Cleveland is already waving the white flag

He'll say it with a big smirk on his face while doing so as well.

I'm sure BB talks smack as well as anyone else on the field, and let's face it, he's got the resume to back it all up.

Shamelessly pinched this from over on the r/Patriots subreddit

Even though Gordon was on the field, he was listed as DNP. Shaq Mason also DNP with an ankle injury.

Wow, it's already over.

Get ready for the triple-lindy reverses. :coffee:

Was this before his knee injury?

I know a lot of you guys are saying he’s getting waived but it looks like he isn’t. Can we get him back but I’m guessing getting Wynn and our Hulk FB is the only ones we can get off IR. Priorities

I do not know why you would cut him from IR. you control his play this year and when he signs somewhere else, comp pick.
