The feeling is the Panthers are dominant and no one is going to beat them anyway. Would you rather make the Superbowl and lose or is it better to get it over with in the AFC Championship?

Simple Poll Forthcoming.

AFCCG. I always want the Pats to make it to the big game.

I want pats to make it to the SB but as the saying goes.... no one remembers who lost the Conf Champ games but it's forever cemented who lost an SB.

So... I voted losing SB is worse. at the moment losing AFCCG seems worse but I remember when Bronco's were getting toasted by Seattle 2 years ago thinking I was glad it wasn't pats getting B-slapped like that.

Denver/Manning are happy right now but if they lose the SB, especially if it gets ugly, that will greatly overshadow the AFCCG win.

The Pats won the AFC Title in 1985. I still have Scars watching that SB against the Bears...

If you lose in the AFCCG you don't have a chance to win the Super Bowl. Every team starts the season with one goal in mind. Let's get to the big game. That's the goal. So to say it's better to lose right before the big game doesn't seem to make sense. Take it from a fan of a team that has lost more then they have won. It's always better to at least make it there and give yourself a chance. Not to mention, a team that goes to the SB gives their fans another 2 weeks of awesomeness.

Losing to Phillie after a 14 pt lead.

But at least we got to bear witness to that rascally Ebner getting cute on the field.

Losing the superbowl is the worst kind of pain, as far as losing games go IMO...it absolutely sucks ass.

You missed the question. If you had to pick to lose either the conference game or SB which would it be. In other words if you knew the Pats would lose to Carolina then would you prefer to get that SB and lose or lose the conf. game.

I would prefer to lose conf. champ game personally but at this point with Brady having 4 rings and 6 trips, I wanted a 7th even if would mean he would lose it. But let's face it 3 SB losses which is what ManninHGH will be staring at puts him in the same company as Elway ironically, Kelly and Tarkenton. And even though he has the one ring, he will have followed it by 3 SB losses. That is lousy and would be talked about as much as his one and done's and most playoff losses all time.

I voted the SB only because that means 3 SB loses for TB and the current Pats organization, as it stands right now I much prefer them being 4-2 than 4-3. Get this team healthy and that o line beefed up for TB and make another run for that 5th ring.

For me, it honestly depends on the team and the year. If that 2013 team had gotten to the SB and lost, they would have still been huge overachievers, so it wouldn't have hurt as badly to lose the SB. In 06, I think that squad would have beaten Chi in the SB, so that AFCC killed. In 2011, much as I hated their losing the SB, I was really proud of that team, they didn't really "belong" there talent wise.

07, that's something I will never ever get over and it actually killed something inside me as a fan.

I prefer not being remembered as a team that lost in the SB.

Those 2 losses to the NYG still give me chills.

No thanks to a SB loss so that's my vote for worst.

There is losing the SB and getting pounded in the SB as they did when they played the Bears.

I think yesterday was a "mercy" loss. The Patriots, if they have won yesterday, and the Bronco's who won yesterday, will get pounded by Carolina. I'm convinced of that, and I would not want this Patriots team to be embarrassed in the SB.

Can you picture what the Carolina defense would do to the Patriots OL. And the Carolina offense is much better than Denvers. So I'm not unhappy that the Patriots lost a close AFCCG.
