I have a confession.

I'm excited for the Royal Wedding. There, I said it.

I wasn't until today, but now I am and am glad I am working from home tomorrow so I can catch it. I remember getting up at 4 to watch Princess Di and was sooooooooo excited, she was a real life Cinderella. To see the son she loved so much now marry? Well, I'm a sentimental old hag.

OMG, TG...thank you for providing me with a laugh for today. I can always count on you for that. Here I am on pins and needles for the NFL draft, the next playoffs series for the Bruinz and Celts, and you're excited about the royal wedding. And here I thought we lived in the same head space.

I give hockey as much attention as I can muster (or am told I have to watch :rolleyes:) and the Celts are dead to me.:harumph:

Well, I can honestly say that I've looked at about 4 million wedding dresses in the last week for my own princess, and the trend is leaning to one shouldered, ivory or champagne, with little to no beading, pearls, lace, or sequins. In other words, simplicity.

Now, how that will translate over to a royal wedding is anyone's guess. I'm assuming it will be pure white *ugh* with tons of complex lacing and a mega train, though I do think Kate is going to try to buck the royals on that. I can see her in a sleek ivory gown, but I doubt that will happen. I'm not sure she has much choice, and given that the old lady is still alive and kicking, I'm sure she'll insist on something prissy and frilly, something fit for the future queen of England.

I'm hoping Kate comes out in a bare-shouldered, mermaid type of silk gown. But I'm sure it will be more of the Little Bo Peep, hoop-skirted, crinoled-type of monstrosity.

You know, something that you might wear. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! (that was for the fvck off)
 
I have nothing to add to this except that I thought I heard my wife tell my daughter that Kate will not wear white (neither of them give a shite about the whole affair though) but cream??

Sarah Ferguson wore ivory, not white so I don't think she has to go pure white.

I think she'll have cap sleeves, not strapless but a straight gown with a million foot train. She is going to be elegant and radiant.

You are forgetting I did wear a wedding gown and I did NOT wear a friggin hoop nor carry a herding/sheperd stickROFL

I am going to have dreams of Kate Middleton banging Mark Herzlich tonight.ROFL

I will watch the show I recorded tonight tomorrow and that is it. Got to mow a lawn, hopefully, and then help load in a concert for a friends band.
 
The Queen is dressed like "Twinkie The Kid." So that's pretty cool.

No, I made it a point to be outside doing yard stuff. However, let's just say it was on in the house so I caught a couple of glimpses. The queen looked like she just came from the set of "The Mask."
