With rumors swirling that we're looking for WR's we should go after AJ Green. The Bengals would benefit hugely from trading him and he could fill the hoopla left here by AB. When healthy he's an awesome WR. All the talent and none of the bullshit. He's gotta be the most Patriot-like non-Patriot out there. Would fit perfectly here. I'd love to see what he and Brady could do together.

Even these guys seem to think it's a possibility:

Green can't stay healthy. He had torn ligaments in his foot that required Sx to repair. A return in 2 weeks seems optimistic to me. What kind of fit would he be with the Patriots is also a question. He needs time to get up to speed being a long strider.

I don't see us picking up any wr. Get Jakobi in the mix, and if need be recall Harry in a couple of weeks. For now we can flex out the rbs and Watson will return. At this point I would rather Wynn and Develin come IR if ready.

I love AJ Green but don't see this happening. Plus, do we really need another exBengal on team?

I prefer his uncle Al

I'm in the "Love the One you're with" camp.

Stop looking for WR's elsewhere...it never works bringing these guys in mid-season.

I think the corps we have is just fine and will do the job well with some experience and reps.

Larry Fitz may be a cheaper and better option! He can play couple of seasons and get a ring here before he retires!

Been hearing some rumbles that Cinci may be shopping around to see what they can get for certain players. Seems likely that AJ Green and Tyler Eifert are on that list. Would love it if we picked up both of them, though I won't get my hopes up.

Gordon can do anything green can at this point in their respective careers. Eifert..... I dunno he’s lost a lot after all the injuries. I guess at least he’s on the field

Green seems like a good dude. I hope for him he gets a healthy season with a decent QB. I don’t think he’s a fit for NE, but I’d love to see him have some success somewhere on a team that’s a contender.

He is too frequently dinged up for my taste. I’d take him for the right price , but it’d have to be very cheap.

It's not just what you have to give up to get him, but how can he possibly fit under the cap. His base salary this year is 12M. The Pats would have to make a major cut or two as well as attempt to restructure other contracts.

It's not happening.

He would be like owning a Jaguar automobile. You'd need 2 since 1 is always in the shop.
