but I committed to my spouse why would I cheat? One can use the same arguments to defend cheating on a spouse, killing other people, etc.... Most religions frown upon homosexuality and, until very recently, most nations did as well. One person's "freedom" is another person's "immorality". That's what happens when you individualize right and wrong.
as for killing someone, I could do it easily yet do not think I would like the flashbacks of the face as I choke the life out of it
doesn't the bible actually talk about taking the bed of a fellow man at some point....is that something that may have been lost in translation
Ruth and Naomi
Ruth 1:16-17 "Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me."
David and Jonathan
Samuel 18:1 "...Jonathan became one in spirit with David and he loved him as himself."
Samuel 18:2 "From that day, Saul kept David with him and did not let him return to his father's house."
Samuel 20:41
"After the boy had gone, David got up from the south side of the stone and bowed down before Jonathan three times, with is face to the ground. Then they kissed each other and wept together - but David wept the most."
Samuel 1:26 "I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were very dear to me. Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women."
