Easley put on IR

That's a bummer. He was starting to make some impactful plays. They had him down for a "thigh" injury so I assume he tore a quad. Not enough time for that to heal at this point.

Sucks.

It's up to Hicks to keep improving on that pass rush, cause otherwise, we're kinda sunk for natural middle pressure.

Easley was awesome this year, really starting to truly get it. And wasn't a liability in the run anymore.

This sucks. Felt like his name was always called or he was in the area all year around the QB and RB

It's a shame ... the kid has immense talent but is strapped in a body made of glass.

I'm kind of glad it's not a knee injury again, but other than that, yeah, sucks for the kid, and for the team.

Easley has been on a snap count all year according to Mike Reiss. He's played in only about 31-32% of the defensive plays by design to save wear and tear. He was playing well when he played this year but on Sunday as soon as Hicks replaced Easley Hicks became the star. I'm sorry to lose Easley but he, like Blount, won't be missed as much as the media wants us to think.

Yet another development not possible had a Revis & Browner signing taken place.

The extra cap hit for Hicks vs HooMan would have been too much.

Add Blount and our IR roster could compete for a WC berth.

I'm not surprised to hear that he was on a snap count.

I like to watch Easley and find him to be very interesting and unusual. I still don't think we've seen his best stuff, but it was clear that he was starting to make impact plays and was able to use his speed off the snap similar to what he did in Florida-- which sets up the rest of his game by getting opponents off-balance and then he can utilize his spins, bulls and rips to get free. He has been penetrating better and making about one "wow" play per game and was more solid overall. He can still get out-muscled at the point as was the case Sunday when Duane Brown just flattened him and then drove him through the floorboards, but as I said, there has been much less of that and more of him being problematic for the other guys.

He keeps rolling that rock up the hill and just when it appears he is ready to really be a force for this D he gets hurt again and the rock rolls back down.

I don't think his loss is critical, because we have depth at DT but it does hurt because none of the other guys have his kind of skill.

What troubles me is that both of his injuries seemed to occur during routine contact with first the hip giving way for no apparent reason and then the thigh/knee/leg whatever-it-was vs. Houston.

I don't generally like to use "made of glass" analogies for guys, but at this point it is probably fair to wonder if it may be true in Easley's case.

Wow!

Gaffney & Lewis would be great right about now.

Still have TreeMenDoes hopes for uber-athlete Roberts at CB.

What dropped Flowers? I'd missed that one.
