In an interview Monday with "The Rich Eisen Show," running back Chris Johnson sounded like he's happy to be moving on from the Jets, who declined his 2015 contract option on Saturday. (William Perlman | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com)
If Vereen becomes too expensive, maybe CJ2K could be had for short money.

Pride, homes. He still thinks he's the GOAT.

Don't get me wrong, he's a better QB than anyone they had last year, but Manning doesn't scare me at this point of his career.

This is all moot anyway, I'd be stunned if he's not back in Denver.

Harbin

BB kicked the tires on Harvin before the Seahacks traded for him.

The guy has a lot of talent (mad skills yo), a loose cannon though.

BB "could" turn the guy around...next year's project if the price is right?

No one can turn Harvin around, he has mental problems. He is not able to take the appropriate meds b/c of the NFL drug policy.

You can thank Urban Meyer for Harvin's entitlement issues.

Oddly enough, it was Aaron Hernandez's extension from the Pats that sent Harvin on his way to obscurity. They graduated together and it was AHERN who was getting paid FIRST?! Pissed, Harvin threatened to walk out of camp. The Vikings said :hello:

Then when Seattle wouldn't continue to feed his entitled behavior Harvin became angry and aggressive toward G.Tate & D.Baldwin for usurping his receptions and Russel Wilson for not throwing more to him. He also took himself out of games.

Ego, entitlement, anger, rejects authority, me, me, me.
That's NOT a guy would BB bring on board.

Haynesworth was on a no-risk whatsoever type contract.

That wouldn't happen with Harvin.

And that's the only type of contract Harvin would get offered from the Pats, low signing bonus, but incentive laden.

Even so, I never understood the Haynesworth or Chad Johnson signings. It's really hard to pin BB down to a NEVER.

Bill seems to like a project and even better a discounted one. I doubt Harvin is going to come cheap. I guess he was, pissed APerp got paid before he did and that got him out of Minny. No idea what the hell he was thinking in Seattle and who would be happy with the Jets... i bet Bill's last year in Cleveland was more pleasant.

I just see someone taking a flyer and guaranteeing more money up front.

Not sure. What I do know is, the Patriots don't need Harvin. He doesn't fill a single role that isn't already being filled by someone who does that job at least as well.

In Bush's case, he'd be a direct replacement for Vereen, Catch the ball out of the backfield, and definitely a much stronger runner as well. So he's fragile. It's not like Vereen's not made of glass himself.
