Woodpeckers are hard-headed noisy pricks. They put new holes where there should be none. They're always attracted to wood, therefore I presume that they're ghey/er than a $3 bill.

they are soooooooooooooo cool, we have a pair in our back yard and they are gorgeous simply gorgeous and don't cause us any trouble

Took the kids to the movies a couple weeks back. On the long dark ride home a huge white/grey flash about 20' in front of the car window. Wifie: "WTF was that!" Me: "That was a bad-ass owl babe."

Saw a Discovery or Explorer show on 'em once. Measured the decibel level of them coming in for the kill. Almost silent. Even a mouse stands no chance.
