No, if he remained healthy yes but with his pulled groin not fully healed I wonder if he goes out again and Martin comes back. Really not an issue so far and yet to be seen if it will be

Mike Reiss reporting on BB's press conference today:

Belichick was asked about a report on NBCsports.com that the Patriots have spoken with the NFL about protecting their employees when Colts president Bill Polian comes to town on Nov. 5. Belichick smiled, then said spokesman Stacey James would handle that line of questioning.

The fact that Polian, during a game where his team is winning convincingly, actually vocalized his wish that Fluties leg get broken, makes him a POS. He really should be escorted around while he's here just in case he gets punchy.

So does this mean that SI will have to do another poll to decide who are the dirtiest executives in the league?

Maybe someone could hire Flutie to cover the game and sit him beside Polian in the press box - might make for an entertaining half time show

Way to try to steer the conversation off course. Is this pissing you off dashoe? Good. :D

Try bringing up Deion's contract dispute next, maybe that will work. ROFL

Dash if one of the Pats executives assaulted somebody everyone in Indy would be going nuts about how evil he was and that he should be immediately jailed or fined by the league. I don't think you can dispute that in any way.

Yet almost universally the Indy fans seem to be dismissing this as some kind of joke, and that such behavior by Polian is acceptable.

That's called a double standard by the way.

This sums up the majority of the IndyStar poster's feelings on the matter....

Geeze I love those guys at pft, from this week's power rankings -

3. Patriots (4-1): In anticipation of the arrival of Peyton Manning and the Colts, the Pats are replacing the sod at Gillete Field.

With quicksand.

From the Herald's blog:

The issue of the Patriots’ security request to the league on Bill Polian was brought up, and Belichick said he’d rather direct questions to head-of-PR Stacey James. But check this out: When the 1990s Bills came up, Belichick was asked if the four-time AFC Champions were the best team he’d seen not to win a Super Bowl. The coach scuffled a bit before emphasizing that three of the four Bowls they lost “weren’t real competitive.” The GM of those Buffalo teams? You got it. Polian.

That really makes the Pats front office look like wussies. I mean, who needs protection from an 80 year old man? ROFL
