Predict the Patriots record contest

So you see a West coast team going to Foxboro in december with a average offense and beating the pats, and then a Dome team going to Foxboro in December and beating them as well? Yeah I do not see that, because well basically I have not seen that since Brady became the QB for this team...You should look up the record of teams going from west coast to east coast to play...its not pretty.

Stranger things have happened. Whoever thought that Brady would get picked 4 times in the same game, and by the Bills D, no less? Manure happens all the time in the NFL, "which is why they play the games."

Brady getting picked 4 times has happened a ton more than a west coast team going into Foxboro and beating the patriots....If we are going to do predictions, then I would assume, the any given sunday thing is not really going to be used or it kinda silly to predict anything.

I agree. I read somewhere a while ago that the talent differential between the top and bottom teams in the NFL is very small, which puts a premium on coaching.

Even having a great QB doesn't make up for deficient coaching, and Phillip Rivers is the perfect example. He's been stuck with Marty Schottenheimer and Norv Turner his entire career while his draft classmates, Roethlisberger and Eli, have 2 Super Bowl rings each.

Norv turner who is a superbowl offensive coordaintor? I cannot let off Rivers from teh hook, when you have more ints than td's in the playoffs, you are very much contributing to your failures.

Agreed. That said, Marty had a good OC and DC. I think the coaching staff was ok...it was more the mental makeup of the team. I blame AJ Smith more than anyone else.

With this schedule, this is not unreasonable. But I'll go with 17-2, which has treated us well in the past.

I was going to say 18-1, but...let's just say that I'd want to intentionally drop game 16 if we went into it 14-1. I want absolutely no part of being 18-1 ever again.

You and Skip bayless predicted the same way.:coffee:

I will go with 13-3 although I think it will be 12-4.

The Patriots will start with a loss to TN in week 1. This will lead to the "the sky is falling" week which we must endure every year. The they will lose to Seattle as Pete Carroll will out rah-rah BB.

Finally they will lose to SF after a tough win over Houston. But they will redeem themselves with a win over the 49'ers in the Super Bowl.

You really F'ed up this one, didn't you? And the 3 game parlay was a real stroke of genius.

I'm sticking with my prediction. We make the playoffs and win our last game. Records be damned.

:bump:

Now that the season's over, it's interesting to go back and look at what we all said.

Who get's the kiss?
