So I'm really not sure where to go from here.

THIS.

But the Pats 20 year run!, they can't take that away from us, though God knows they've tried.

Yes, Bill has done everything in his considerable sight and understanding to throw a screw you to bullshit and we have all been the beneficiaries of such legendary success against odds that would make most crumble in a heap.

The Flying Elvis Logo I never embraced for it does not represent the heart of a patriot.

This is the heart of a patriot and Bill Belichicks soul.

Thank you Bill.

Maybe this some of this is true, and I feel what you're saying.

But, I don't think the Patriots are rigged. I root for them to be uncontrollable by Roger, the Mob, Vegas and the KGB.

We've beaten the entire corrupt system several times and that's worth rooting for.

Anyhow, I'll hope to see you down the road when your Patriots addiction overtakes your disgust for the system.

My post just below this one begins to address that.

You know I expect missed calls, human error is a real thing.

But when all the wrong calls go in one direction it's seems a bit suspicious. Those calls decided the AFC Championship game so it's kind of a big deal.

Seems to me the NFC game looked a bit one sided also, but the niners playing without a QB kind of decided that one.

I don't want to believe the league put a finger on the scale, but it's tough not to.

Love the photo, thank you for sharing.

I'll be skipping the Super Bowl. I'll be around to talk Patriots and stuff, but I'm getting to a place where I'm wondering what the point is.

I could go point-by-point in that 4th quarter of the AFCCG in terms of officiating, but you all saw what I saw.

The NFL being in bed with the casinos and gambling sites, and happily taking their money will be the absolute downfall of this league, not the concussion stuff.

Within 20-25 years, this sport will be deader than baseball. I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, and I'm usually pretty non-commital with a bad call here and there, even in a crucial spot, but the winner of that game was predetermined by the league, once the Chiefs were in it in the 4th quarter. I don't think I could be convinced otherwise.

There has been far too much of this dubiousness in the last couple of years, starting with the DraftKings/FanDuel stuff, and now just outright taking money from MGM, and putting a damned sportsbook in Washington's stadium.

I'd say 'the owners need to reverse course', but they won't, because the checks clear.

So, enjoy those Kelce Brothers interviews this week, I guess, I won't be a part of them. 🤷
Another coherent presentation of an incredible turn of events. Excellent thread.

Cheers

There are standards now?
There were very well defined criteria for getting the post season assignments.

That is OBVIOUSLY gone now.

What is assignment process?

That's pretty clearly intentional grounding IMO. :shrug-n: Ball hits the ground 7 yards away from Perrine

I disagree. In the direction of...
Everyone knows he was throwing the ball away. QBs do it all the time. As long as it's thrown in the direction of a legit target they're covered.

The nature of these high-pressure playoff games dictates that the official standards have to be so high to the point where there simply cannot be controversy allowed. These games are one-and-done. There IS NO second chance, there is no game 2, 3, 4 etc for your team to claw their way back from a game lost due to bad play or bad calls. One game and you're done for the entire season. You walk off the field defeated, and the next competitive game you're in is all the way in September. The winter has to finish, Spring will come and go as will the summer.

There is no excuse for the NFL in this era of high tech and multiple cameras etc.

Every time I look at Philly's season I cant decide if they are really good or just exceptionally lucky.

Seems like every time they played someone good the other team was missing key players.

On Sunday they didn't pull away from the Niners until the 4th string QB went down, and the 3rd stringer came back but was unable to throw anything.

Maybe Mahomes ankle will explode and they'll get to pull put a game against Chad Heine
