Week 2 other games

Hard to believe the Bengals are 0-2 and looking very shaky.

Josh is also 0-2, many had the McRaiders winning that AFCW. Still early days but not the start he wanted.

Burrow apparently on course to be sacked over 100 times this year. They revamped the O line after he was sacked 50 times last year

GG Bengals :coffee:

Several scores (teams) surprised me yesterday.

The Bengals are 1 of them. They're playing like they don't care. SB loser cursed.
Others
Dolphins - Tua especially. He can't possibly keep up that pace. I hope BB & co. are watching what great receivers can do for a QB.
Colts - WTF has happened to that team? You'd think they lost the SB last year. I'll have to make it a point to watch a few Jaguars games. Maybe they're coming around.
Jete - Wow, they provided the clean sweep for the AFC East yesterday, 4-0.
LARams - Yeah, they won but barely. Shows you what winning a SB in a city that doesn't care means to a team.
Raiders - I'm one who had them competing for the AFC winner. They still could but not playing like they have.

On the AFCE sweep, the Bills are playing the Titans tonight aren't they?

It's a whole new NFL!
Pending MNF, the Patriots are in the basement of the AFC East on tiebreakers, while the Jaguars and Giants are in sole possession of first place in their respective divisions.

The McRaiders might choke away a double digit lead to the Cards.

Worst blown lead in Raiders franchise history. Lost a 20pt lead. Raiders were 170-0 before when leading up 16+ pts in the 4th quarter. Could have ran and then kicked a FG to seal the game, instead went spread shotgun 3 straight times to give the ball back.

The arc of history/karma is long and it’s great to see Brian Daboll doing well on the Giants. 2-0 on the Giants via gritty play and not beating themselves. Good coach.

1. Mike McDaniel is a really good coach. Extremely innovative back on the niners.

2. Tua is legit. How many QBs threw for 6 TDs in a game and weren’t elite. Can’t think of any.

3. The Pats should NOT copy and add yet another WR body. Parker was already a total waste and NKeal 2.0. Just go with Meyers, Agholor, Bourne, Henry, and Jonnu

4. That first Tua TD, why can’t they throw this play to Jonnu Smith multiple times a game. Quick WR screen to Jonnu would be deadly, he would truck over dbacks with ease

I can't dislike McDaniel.
Seems to be very funny also.

We'll see. Hard to argue with the results early, but generally new coaches aren't tested until things go badly. Buddy-buddy players' coaches most of all.

He's not, though it looks like he may have a winner's clutch gene, which can muddy the waters and give him cover. He's a weird combination of Rex Grossman's bipolar-level inconsistency and Doug Flutie's scrappiness and clutch instincts.

...but until this week you said that two of those five were a waste. Parker is a contested catch specialist and thus ideally used as a safety blanket and red zone go-to. Neither role works without trust between him and his QB. Which takes time, and suffered a setback.

I don't like Parker much, but give him some time to show his value.

Unless they're putting him out there at other times, for other routes, you're also begging for a jumped route and pick-six. I agree this would be a nice addition, but you'd want to also have him running curls, crosses, and especially zero-slants from that position.

And the Jets won in the last seconds!
Browns D let up but it was nice to see the Jets show no quit and be aggressive. Fake punt, recover the onside kick and spread the ball around. Garrett Wilson may be the real deal.

That was a pretty significant win IMO by the Bucs. With so many picking against the Bucs and rightfully so given their history with New Orleans, that was a hard fought game where the Bucs were the tougher team who came up with the big plays in the fourth to win the game. I see it as a real tone setter for the season that should given them a lot of confidence. 2-0 in the division, already in command and now has GB coming in who they match up with well. If they end up 3-0 that will be huge especially given the injuries to the O. I have to say I love the grit of this team. Shades of 2020.
