Where would you go if you could time travel?

I would concur that observing the events surrounding the American revolution would be fantastic. I have read everything I can find about it but I am sure some of that time is forever lost.

Perhaps a close second would be to observe biblical times and the events described in the Bible.

This^^^ on both counts.

Ancient Rome (1st centuries BC and AD), and 5th century Athens.

Both civilizations are what much of modern thought and governance are based upon. The amount of creativity, imagination, and philosophy that rose during those two periods far surpass many other time periods.

This is a no brainer for me

My dad died when I was five.

I would go back a few years before and live the hell out of each day with him. 😥
I was going to say something similar....1930 Poland to meet my moms Family, my great grandparents, my grandmother, and her brother, as well as the Aunts and Uncles and cousins.

Awesome. And even if we could not interact, I would love to just watch him go about his day. Relatives have said I look just like him and act like him. I would love to see what that is. I miss dad, a lot. Five years was not enough.

My daughter has turned into a master ancestry pro. She's Taken us back to 854 AD with one branch and way back with hundreds of other branches. Anyway, she's an offiver in the RI DAR and has documented 64 of my ancestors who served in the Revolution. So I would join Patswin and th rest of the revolutionists so I could drop in on a large group of incipient American family members and learn from them. :thumb:

This is my answer.

I want to see how the human race progresses.
The problem with this OP thread is there are too many places I would want to check out. I am a history buff so I would want to be all over the place and time now and in the future. The possibilities, oh my gosh. But you got me thinking happily. Thanks, shugs.

Wait, can we go forward in time? Because that's a no-brainer, if so. If definitely go forward a big chunk to see what was up...
Yeah, I’d go ahead about 5 years, to see what stocks to pick when I get back.

Oh, man. Absolutely. I wanna travel with you when you do this.
I'm in for that, Perhaps with both of us going we can get a better deal and be allowed to visit from 1888 through to 1891. :)

Hot damn! He is my favorite scientist. Oh, the glory years of his. Awesome. Okay, UT we really need a time machine now.

Ummm, Crybaby with Johnny Depp?

Speaking of her, when I was in my early 20's, I had a VCR tape of her first movie, which wasn't legal, but at the time, no one knew
I’m sure I’ve seen plenty of her movies, but no one knew in the 80s. I don’t feel so bad I was in my teens and probably under age at the time LOL…

I have always wondered what the conversation between Obama and Pakistan was like when we told them we were invading their country to take out Bin Laden. And don't ef with us on this.
