Mills did fine todayBetter than Mills...
Marcus did look good when he was out there. Hopefully the pictures Bryant has on someone aren't that bad.Yup.
Marcus should get more of a chance too...I know Bryant actually made a decent play today too.
has bob been taking any weird trips lately? now that he's engaged, any pictures could be a bitch...Marcus did look good when he was out there. Hopefully the pictures Bryant has on someone aren't that bad.
I have to confess I thought about Jones getting Bledsoed. It was even about this time of year too IIRC?Mac Jones is yesterday's QB.
I don't think that will happen. Mac didn't have Jacolby and the OL looks like it's starting to come together. I think that Mac shouldn't come back until he's completely healed, then let's see what he does.I have to confess I thought about Jones getting Bledsoed. It was even about this time of year too IIRC?
Well after reading this thread I put face in palm and just shook my head. Some of you are just amazing. There is no QB controversy Mac got inured before the team was able to get this new offence worked out. Really folks the play calling in the first two games was just awful. It was great to see Meyers back in the line up. That man is a great player. Stevenson did a real good job after Harris went down. I still think they are better together and word is the Harris could be back against Cleveland. The play from Zappe was outstanding he didn't try to do to much and the play calling worked within his skill set. The best thing was how the Defense came to life. If the can stay healthy they will be able to keep the pats in contention most of this season.

“Bailey made a lot of good decisions. Was accurate with the ball. Thought he showed some poise there in some pressure situations where he got out of it and found an open receiver, made good decisions.”
“He does a good job of seeing the game and can come off and identify and articulate what he saw, what happened — and that’s usually right. What he saw is usually what I saw or, maybe, when you look at the film, maybe there’s something that’s a little gray in there, his explanation is actually good. It was the way he saw it. Maybe he might not have done the right thing, but he saw the game".

Zappe did really well and has put himself on the NFL landscape, but Mac is going to get himself sorted out when he's healed up. It's his team. Period. It was a day where almost everything we did worked, so let's hope the Pro Shop doesn't print a Zappe jersey for mass consumption just yet.
I will say that Bill may have inadvertently thrown a little fuel on the "Macbench" fire when he said this, among other things, about Zappe:
“He does a good job of seeing the game and can come off and identify and articulate what he saw, what happened — and that’s usually right,” Belichick said. “What he saw is usually what I saw or, maybe, when you look at the film, maybe there’s something that’s a little gray in there, his explanation is actually good. It was a bit reminiscent of the way he spoke about Brady early in his career.
Felger will take note and milk that, I'm sure. All the sharpies in the media will use it for what will probably be a modest campaign to create a DQBC (dreaded qb controversy) in Foxboro in hopes of conning the stupid in order to generate heat and hits, but there really isn't anything there for it to really take off. The fan base as a whole isn't nearly angry enough.

This one goes in your file. Chef's KissI’m not sure Mac playing would make much of a difference. This lions team is just flat out better. They have some real talent.
Consistently good pocket awareness and movement; everything was always on time and in rhythm. This was some really good quarterback play yesterday by Zappe, I don't care who the opponent was.
