Patriots at Raiders: Official Game Thread

So this week they learned not to lateral the ball 20 yards backwards to the other team on the last play of a tie game. Great, making progress.

Another lesson

Don’t talk to each other and change up the punt protection half a second before the snap

Also don’t not have a play ready to call at the 1 yard line resulting in a delay of game

Also don’t have a motion error at the 1 yard line either

.

Mac never even really tried to tackle Chandler either.
Chandler also got rewarded for being lazy. I doubt his assignment was don't pursue and cover Mac in case of a 15 yard lateral.

We're a laughing stock and the worst thing is, ever over here, 3,000 miles away, this is the headline in one of the Irish Newspaper's sports section.

I will and have been critical of Mac when warranted. However people are saying it was a half hearted attempt by Mac to tackle Chandler. Mac fell trying to get to the ball. He was in an awkward position on the ground and could not tackle Chandler. There was no way he could have tackled the 270 pound Chandler from that position, period.

There can be no criticism of Mac for that. Expecting a QB to tackle a monster DE is patently ridiculous in the same vein, you never expect the kicker or punter to make a tackle, that's not what they do.

We've got ourselves one dumb football team. I'm sure Bill still preaches situational football, but they're either ignoring him or are too dumb to get it.

Jakobi, wtf? You've been around long enough to know waaay better. 🙄
