So I'm really not sure where to go from here.

Of course the NFL has been in bed with gambling forever, but as soon as they put a team in Vegas, they never bothered to try and wave it away anymore.

@TommyD420 I'm close to where you are. My first WTFudge reality check was Ray Rice' girlfriend having to apologize in front of cameras. I came close to walking away. As the years have gone by more and more has piled on. When I heard they were creating a way to gamble inside a stadium I was angry but yet not surprised. Roger's job is to make the owners richer. Period. I'll watch the Patriots but any other NFL game probably not. I love football, I been watching since 7-8 years old. But what I see on tv is not the same with what I grew up with. Players safety at times doesn't seem like a concern in the long run. They let players like Suh still play among others.

I won't be watching the SB but I rarely do if the Pats aren't in or the teams I couldn't care less about which is a lot of teams.

Just the joy I use to feel watching this sport has been chipped away bit by bit.

I said it weeks ago, but it's appalling the way the NFL has just leapt into bed with big gambling. The amount of commercials for it when watching NFL games now is off the scale. It's reckless and stupid. Take it from a country that knows the damage it can do, where Gambling shops and reps are at every stadium and down every high street. It's a plague and ruins lives. Down every Irish town and village street, you'll see a Paddy Power or a William Hill betting shop, usually right beside the pubs.

Now, it's a free country, people are free to gamble and drink if you want. But actively promoting it and forging these very nefarious links with companies like Draft Kings etc is a recipe for disaster.

Forget about fixing games it is the effect on ordinary people that should be a major concern. It's one of the things I really liked about the US and its Sports, the way Gambling wasn't front and centre.

Judon had that in every single game this season. It's a joke, they want to help the offense as much as possible. The roughing the kicker penalty we saw yesterday was a total joke as well.

I don't know. It was rough to watch BUT Burrow had the ball in his hands to win the game with 2 minutes to go and he crapped himself just like last year in the SB. Joe Cool was anything but Cool.

I'm not quite ready to go full conspiracy theory but there were also multiple holds by KC on the Skyy Moore punt return that set up the winning drive. I mean, I almost expect a flag on every return play. Nothing.

I agree with a good deal of this.

Gambling addictions are very much like alcoholism, drug addiction and much else.

I was there for the love of my life when her dad hung himself in his ex wife's back yard in California having finally succumbed to gambling and substance addictions. Very bright and successfully civil engineer.

I've experienced things such as this too many times and I know the devastation, believe me I do. I've sat and cried with far too many of those I love and care about.

There are issues underlying these tragedies but are not the availability of drugs, alcohol or gambling.

In this particular issue with the NFL the issue lies with the illegal collusion and fraud paying billions taken straight from the pockets of the defrauded.

This a legal issue that must be addressed.

The underlying causes of many addictions is a different matter to be addressed.

I'll be skipping the Super Bowl. I'll be around to talk Patriots and stuff, but I'm getting to a place where I'm wondering what the point is.

I could go point-by-point in that 4th quarter of the AFCCG in terms of officiating, but you all saw what I saw.

The NFL being in bed with the casinos and gambling sites, and happily taking their money will be the absolute downfall of this league, not the concussion stuff.

Within 20-25 years, this sport will be deader than baseball. I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, and I'm usually pretty non-commital with a bad call here and there, even in a crucial spot, but the winner of that game was predetermined by the league, once the Chiefs were in it in the 4th quarter. I don't think I could be convinced otherwise.

There has been far too much of this dubiousness in the last couple of years, starting with the DraftKings/FanDuel stuff, and now just outright taking money from MGM, and putting a damned sportsbook in Washington's stadium.

I'd say 'the owners need to reverse course', but they won't, because the checks clear.

So, enjoy those Kelce Brothers interviews this week, I guess, I won't be a part of them. 🤷

Maybe this some of this is true, and I feel what you're saying.

But, I don't think the Patriots are rigged. I root for them to be uncontrollable by Roger, the Mob, Vegas and the KGB.

We've beaten the entire corrupt system several times and that's worth rooting for.

Anyhow, I'll hope to see you down the road when your Patriots addiction overtakes your disgust for the system.
