Most everyone remembers Bill Parcells comment about buying the groceries, but if you're not a pre-BB old-timer you might not remember who was buying the groceries at the time.
The Patriots then director of pro personnel, and de facto GM, was Bobby Grier (Not the hockey player, his dad). During the Pete Carroll era there was a well worn path from the locker room to Grier's office where players like Terry Glenn would go to bitch about playing time and the like.
Bobby Grier's other son, who did not play hockey, is named Chris and is the current General Manager of the Miami Dolphins.
For the record, Bobby Grier Sr is currently in the personnel department of the highly successful [sarcasm] Houston Texans.
This is some funny shit to watch happen to another AFC East team.
