They can, sure.

Of course, the last WR they drafted that stayed through their entire 1st contract was Lee Evans in 2004.

Diggs had lost a step, was disrupting the locker room, and his production can be replaced for much less money if they hit on 2 mid round picks in a draft flush with receiving talent.
I was hoping they’d try to make it work and stay in cap hell for a few years while he approaches his wall. KC did a pretty good job at containing him.
