By my unconfirmed count, 99 years, 348 Days. I'd hate to come up short from that close. :rofl:

My Anne was her escort for three days at the New York Stage and Film at Vasser one summer. Raves about how wonderful she was and how great that job was.

R. I. P., great lady.
 
She was a national treasure.

I think it was People magazine just a few days ago that ran an article with her on reaching age 100.

I think she went just after the article was released and just before turning 100 as one last joke.

When I worked at HoJo’s on the Mass Pike in the ‘70s, Allen Ludden (Betty’s hubby) came to the takeout counter to place an order. I recognized him so I asked where Betty was and he replied, “She’s in the car and this ice cream sundae is for her.”

Awesome tale! And hokey as it was, I miss HoJo's. It was where we always ate on the road. Host of the Highways.
