George Anthony admits losing money to email scam
11:52 a.m. During an interview with the FBI earlier this summer, George Anthony admitted that he'd lost the family's money in an e-mail scam - something he hadn't divulged to his wife.

He told an agent he received an email that said there was $2.2 million in a foreign bank account waiting for him.

""I got involved in that..I should have known better. It was stupid," he said. "I got scammed."

Anthony was unemployed at the time, after suffering a knee injury and thought the money in the e-mail was the real deal.

"I did lie to my wife about that," Anthony said, adding that he maxed out their Mastercard and blamed it on gambling.

It's unknown how much money he lost or if it was ever recovered

Cindy and George Anthony appeared on CNN's Larry King Live Wednesday night, but offered very little new information.

"It's come up for nothing. There is nothing they have found that has given them any evidence that Caylee is no longer with us," said Cindy.

The Anthonys said they are trying to keep the search for their granddaughter Caylee as the main focus. However, the couple defended their daughter Casey in front of a national audience. Despite Casey being charged with murdering her own daughter, Cindy didn't have a problem defending her.

"Casey has done nothing to her daughter. There is no evidence that shows that," Cindy said.To bad Caylee has to call you a lair from the grave bitch "I can with 100 percent of my being say that I believe that Casey had nothing to do with Caylee's disappearance."

George Anthony originally told the FBI that he recognized the unmistakable smell of a decomposing body, but his story has changed.

"Inside that bag was garbage. There really was pizza, I seen it and I know what was in there," George said to Larry King.

The Anthonys say they are focusing on the alleged Caylee sightings and claim the most recent was Wednesday in Tennessee inside of a grocery store.

"My investigator has already spoken with the Tennessee authorities and the tipster and we are just waiting to see if there is any video in the store," Cindy said.Yeah whatever happen to the "investigator" following up on the "babysitter" from the "park picture" "investigation" in TX?

George and Cindy also spoke out against law enforcement.Of course you would since at every turn you LIED and they were not falling for your "3 card monty" attempt at pushing the investigation off track.

"I wanted them to put out an Amber Alert for my granddaughter, which they never did. They never contacted the FBI and I wanted them to," George said.

I read where they are almost certain that it is little Caylee. My goodness, she was such a pretty little girl. I can't stand people who harm innocent children.
 
My only hope is when she is in the courtroom and hears of her impending execution she breaks down into a quivering pile of snot, tears, and explosive diahrea and implicates the rest of her family in a heinous cover-up resulting in significant jailtime for the rest of 'em where general population will make them "gapers" for a good period of time before they get the shank.

Very sad. We, as a society must judge the mother, but ultimate judgment must come from God. I pray the judgment of our society arranges for an expedient meeting before God.
 
I have seriously been way too addicted to this case!!! So much so that I have had bad dreams (never had them before) about this little girl.

First of all... I want to know why Cindy and George (the murders parents and grandparents of beautiful Caylee) want immunity now?? Their new lawyer wants to talk with investigators about getting immunity for them so they can be re-interviewed without "conflicting statements."

Okay, so you are telling me now that this babies body has more than likely been found (6-months later) that they NOW want to tell the "truth?" Exactly what is the truth to them?? They've had six months to get their stories in sequence!!!

Seriously, if they have covered anything up intentionally or lied in order to hinder this investigation in any way they should come forward with the truth with or without immunity. They owe that to their granddaughter after all the lies they have told and the constant bashing of LE and the FBI. They failed this child by protecting their daughter and I will be the first to say I honestly do feel some sympathy for them because it must be hard to have to admit to yourself that your granddaughter is dead and your own daughter murdered her but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! Their only concern now should be that Caylee gets justice!!

Once the body is ID'ed (which I am sure is Caylee's) the grandparents need to give that baby a proper burial (I really hope it is before Christmas... which is looking less likely) and get some professional help. I hope the judge in this case does not grant permission for Casey to go to Caylee's funeral... she threw her away like trash and went about her life like she never existed and doesn't deserve to be there.

ORLANDO, Florida (CNN) -- The remains found in a wooded area last week in Orange County, Florida, are those of Caylee Anthony, authorities confirmed at a news conference Friday.

The announcement marks the end of a six-month search for the 2-year-old.

"It is with regret that I'm here to inform you that the skeletal remains found on December 1 are those of the missing toddler," Orange County Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia said.

She said the cause of death was homicide, but she could not determine how Caylee was killed.

Casey Anthony, 22, faces charges including first-degree murder in the June disappearance of her daughter. Remains described as being those of a small child were found last week a half-mile from Casey Anthony's parents' home, in the area where a meter reader first directed police.

At Friday's news conference, police will identify the meter reader who, they said Thursday, called the department four months ago, directing them to the site of the remains three times in August.

At a Thursday news conference, Capt. Angelo Nieves, a Sheriff's Department commander, said investigators were looking into whether the tips, called in August 11, 12 and 13, were properly followed up.

In one of those phone calls, the meter reader reported seeing a gray bag on the side of the road, Nieves said. On August 13, a deputy responded to the site and did a "cursory search" but found nothing, Nieves said.

Nieves said police were getting more information from the tipster and the deputy who responded to the tips. He said the department was investigating the "thoroughness" of the deputy's response but would not identify the deputy.

The meter reader "is not a suspect," Nieves said. "He is a credible witness."

Nieves' latest announcement is raising questions about whether police missed several chances to find remains believed to be Caylee's.

The meter reader is not the only one, or the first, to have pointed police toward the site containing the remains.

KioMarie Cruz, Casey Anthony's childhood friend, also told police to investigate the same wooded area near Hidden Oaks Elementary School a month before the meter reader, according to CNN affiliate WFTV.

In an interview with detectives, according to WFTV, Cruz said that she and Anthony "pretty much used to hang out there most of our time," would "snack on food for hours" and went there to "get away from our parents."

The Sheriff's Department followed up on that tip, but the wooded area was covered in floodwaters, preventing a search. Nieves said the water may have been present at the time of the meter reader's tips as well.

Nieves also said Thursday that searchers combing the site after the skull's discovery had found "significant skeletal remains" consistent with those of a small child on the outer perimeter of the search area.

The area will be enlarged, and processing and searching of the site will continue, probably into the weekend, he said.

Some of the remains have been sent to the FBI lab in Quantico, Virginia, in an effort to identify them. Authorities have said the remains are believed to be Caylee's, but an identification is pending.

Sheriff's spokesman Carlos Padilla said last week that authorities believe the remains are Caylee's for three reasons: No other children have been reported missing in the area; the remains are consistent with those of a child of Caylee's age; and the remains were found near the home of the grandparents, where the 2-year-old and her mother were living just before Caylee disappeared.

FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said Monday that he did not know when tests would be complete, but an attorney for Anthony's parents said the FBI is likely to have results "within the next week."

Casey Anthony could face a sentence of life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors said this month that they would not seek the death penalty.

Ever since the election I've had the supposed "news" channels on (MSNBC, CNBC, CNN, CNN Headline News), and they've pretty much been the "Caylee Anthony Channel". It's depressing and sickening. They found her; now just let the poor girl rest in peace already. And I've decided death's too quick and easy, so lock the mother up for life so she can suffer for a long time... Bare bones cell, no amenities, and make sure her roommate is large and mean and has access to a giant-sized strap-on...

First of all, Horatio is the most pathetic actor since William Shatner. The look away as he lifts his shades in the middle of the Miami sun and thrills us with his witty one-liner is nauseating.

As far as the fate of the mother? Big deal if her "roomie" has a giant strap-on. So she gets laid regularly. I'd prefer a "roomie" with as strong a penchant for mental and physical torture that the State Penn. will allow in general population before having to be remanded to a suitable mental institution.

20 yrs or so later with a freak like that in your 6' x 8' and she'll be a quivering teary eyed soul begging for death.
