Allen Branch suspend 4 games

According to WEEI yesterday afternoon, Branch has been told that the appeal won't be heard until later in the season. They were speculating if this was a ploy by the league to get Branch to drop the appeal so he won't risk being suspended for the playoffs.

What's the deal? Talib had his appeal last year heard in a day. This is such baloney from the league trying to hurt the Pats for the playoffs.

of course it is, IF it was a Browns player it would be 1 game with ability to be at the facility because he needs the supports of his team at this difficult time.

Mike Reiss reports that Patriots have claimed NT Darius Kilgo off waivers from Denver as "insurance" for Possibility of Branch suspension. (To make room they waived RB DJ Foster)

word on the Twittersphere is thatt he test that triggered Branch's suspension contained traces of pot from a previously failed test and that there was nothing new in Branch's system.

Obviously he appealed that suspension and the once the league ran through the facts this week, they rescinded Branch's suspension before the appeal hearing.

Really makes you wonder if the league has it out for the Patriots for real

All I know is he must've been All Pro levels of high to still have enough in him to fail a subsequent test and not have used.

Talking Jaric levels of herb abuse.
 
This is HUGE. He has been our best player on the DL.
 
How can he still have traces from before? Wasn't it last summer he failed
