What about the gorgeous red head?
Has been is correct. Ghost surpassed him 2 years ago and counting. The most staggering surreality(?) is the fact that he has been the all-time leading scorer on two teams. Cheers

http://pro32.ap.org/article/giants-owner-mara-comfortable-nfl-suspension-brownEAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — A visibly shaken Giants owner John Mara said Wednesday he was fine with the NFL's suspension of placekicker Josh Brown for one game, despite allegations Brown abused his ex-wife as many as 20 times prior to the Giants signing Brown to a two-year extension last spring.
"Based on the facts that were placed in front of us, we're comfortable with our decision to re-sign Josh and the league's suspension," Mara said in an emotional address to the media while his team practiced. "The easiest thing for us to do would be to get a new kicker. We're trying to be fair to Josh. The easiest thing would be to say, 'Terminate him, get rid of him.' We're trying to do the right thing. It's not always easy."
The 37-year-old Brown was arrested in May 2015, when he allegedly grabbed his ex-wife Molly by the throat and held her down with his knee in their Woodinville, Washington home. Brown was charged with fourth-degree domestic assault. Five days later, the King County prosecutor's office dropped the charges because of insufficient evidence. It was reported that Brown's ex-wife dropped the charges.
After the NFL hit Brown with a one-game suspension instead of the six games mandated by the league's new personal conduct policy, Molly Brown told media she was physically accosted at least 20 times, including once when she was pregnant in 2009.
Mara said Wednesday he was aware of the entire situation — and still sticks by his embattled kicker.
"When we made the decision to re-sign Josh, we were certainly aware of the arrest," Mara said. "We were also aware of the circumstances involved. The charges were dropped. Nothing has happened to make us change our position. We did our due diligence."
Brown signed a two-year, $4 million contract last spring, one that included a $500,000 signing bonus and $1 million guaranteed. Mara said he was privy to the information the NFL had collected on Brown.
"We're aware that there were allegations against Josh," Mara said. "We knew that the NFL would conduct an investigation. We're well aware that there were other (incidents). One of the things you learn is that there is a big difference between allegations and convictions. (Uh, John, "more probable than not"? What say you about TBrady and his 4 games over allegations but no proof or convictions?) It's important to sort all those things out. We're not going to get into the number of conversations we had with a number of people. We will live with the results of the (NFL investigation) and move forward.
"A lot of time, people try to make it black and white," Mara added. "There are two sides to everything. Very rarely you have a Ray Rice video."
Mara referred to the video of the former Baltimore Ravens running back punching his now-wife in the face and knocking her out in an Atlantic City casino elevator, a punch that has essentially ended Rice's football career.
Mara said he was reluctant to even address the situation, but felt the need.
"I hesitated to get into it, because it is such a sensitive and difficult decision," Mara said. "We had a lot of facts presented to us. We did our homework here. Nothing is going to be said to change that decision."
Where are the DV groups?
Listening to Sports Radio this morning on the way in to work and they brought a valid point.
It seems the NFL is more interested in video of domestic violence than they are about domestic violence.
JPP couldn't put his finger on the point because he was blown away by the one game suspension.JPP said this about Brown: "It is what it is. I think he’s suspended one game. It doesn’t matter — we’re all family around here."
We're all family. Except Brown's wife. F**k her. JPP can eat a bag of d*cks.
Let's hope they're out in full before their first game to protest. Or holding up signs in the stands.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised by the Giant's behavior regarding Brown.

John Mara: Giants were comfortable re-signing Josh Brown
NFL Media's Kim Jones has the latest from the New York Giants on the team's troubles with Josh Brown.
The NFL and/or the New York Giants aren’t very good at public records requests, it seems.
The league said it gave Giants kicker Josh Brown a one-game suspension for a misdemeanor domestic violence arrest, and not a standard six-game suspension (which the new domestic violence policy said Brown should have gotten) because Brown’s then-wife didn’t speak to the league and during a 10-month investigation, “we also made numerous requests — as late as this spring — to local law enforcement officers for information on the case and previous allegations.”
And apparently in those 10 months they couldn’t find that Brown had violated a protective order two months after his arrest.
ESPN and USA Today cited a police report — which is readily available upon request — which said Brown was spotted by his then-wife driving his pickup near the driveway of their house in Washington in July of 2015. Brown’s ex-wife had a protective order which prevented Brown from being within 500 feet of her.
“He drove by the house and I looked in the rearview mirror,” his wife wrote in her statement to police, according to USA Today. “Josh knows about the order and cannot come within 500 feet form the house. I have no idea why Josh would come by my the house.”
Brown was arrested on a misdemeanor count of violating the protection order a day later, USA Today reported. They again cited the documents, which are part of public record.
The NFL’s decision to give Brown a one-game suspension instead of the six it outlined in its policy has been widely criticized, and the Giants’ support of him has been odd too, especially after coach Ben McAdoo said in January that the one thing he wouldn’t tolerate was domestic violence. The excuse that Brown’s ex-wife wouldn’t talk doesn’t make a lot of sense either, considering that hasn’t been a precedent. For example, Greg Hardy was suspended in 2015 and his alleged victim isn’t known to have spoken to the NFL.
It’s all a pretty embarrassing mess for the league and the Giants, who didn’t seem too interested in finding out everything there was to know about Brown’s case.
We pretty much expect this type of bumbling/cover up from the league now, don't we? I love that Yahoo calls it on them time and again.
