Brady is back….

Skip Bayless is saying his very well placed source is saying Tom wanted to go to the Niners but the Bucs said no. No trade. He believed he was finished with the Bucs when he announced his "retirement" hence the long-winded goodbye to them.

Skip is saying Tom and Arians have no real relationship, Tom doesn't like him, Arians isn't the hard worker that Tom was used to in BB, Arians will just casually announce he's off to play golf during TC and in the regular season and he doesn't like the way Arians hangs his players in public. It's believed the Glazers agreed to a buffer between Tom and Arians and Tom will work with Leftwich and Licht and will try and have Arians and Tom have minimal contact.

What a ridiculous situation.
all i ever needed to know about arians was that THE BEN liked him...🤣

Skip is mostly correct. This bit of info I'm about to drop will be coming out soon so I'm not betraying trust.

Tom knew he wasn't retiring. He knew from day 1 he'd be back. Bruschi is the first media member to speculate that Tom was up something. He said the day after Tom's 'retirement' that something smelled fishy.

Skip is right about the relationship between Arians and Tom. The Glazers and GM Licht knew how Tom felt about Arians - everyone on the team knew - Leftwich played the buffer from the beginning. Tom thought they were close to firing Arians but needed a push.

Tom's retirement was a play in hopes to get Arians to retire or to get the Glazer's to fire Arians and replace him with Bill O'Brien. Discussions had been held.
The Glazers wanted Arians to go out on his terms by retiring.

Tom had a few other 'suggestions' for shoring up the OL and WR groups but they were secondary. Licht filled Tom's wishes for OL and WR help.

Skip is right about the buffer solution but that occurred naturally. Tom still has hope that Arians will retire. For now, Tom will ignore Arians' petty jabs at him in the media.
Many believe Arians won't last much longer.

Everyone involved will deny it when the media reports it, of course.

Wow, very interesting. Thanks for sharing. What a dysfunctional situation.

You'd wonder, does this make Tom even contemplate a little bit what he had with BB as a head coach? Or is his bitterness too deep?

There were similar goings-on in 2017 with the Pats between RKK, BB and Brady.
The difference is that BB is the GOAT coach and Arians is a flim-flam man.
JimmyG was the sacrificial offering.

I would be surprised if Arians is the HC this fall.

The more we learn, the more we understand what a diva Brady actually was/is.
To be honest... ANYONE who is great at something has to have some of that selfishness in them to drive themselves to be better than everyone else and sometimes it spills into areas that it shouldn't

Power in the wrong hands.

If that's true, Brady's opinion of himself is even higher than originally thought.

He actually expected the Bucs to leave themselves without a QB (not to mention dead money), and trade him to a team that has not only a QB that they're paying well, but a top-5 pick from last year already on the team.

He expected two NFL franchises to kneel at the altar of soon-to-be 45-year-old TB12, because he was sick of taking his kids to school.

There is no shot they trade him unless they get a Herschel Walker haul in return. Brady has far less leverage than he thinks he does.
Yep. He must think the Bucs are morons. And if he did pull this off, they’d hate him in Tampa as would the players after he made a big song and dance about going back to Tampa specifically. And he’d be brain dead truly if he did this regarding his legacy in NE. It would be ruined utterly.

I fear Brady is beyond caring about his Legacy in NE. Probably doesn’t care what Tampa thinks either.

Whatever is best for ‘THE BRAND’
I liked him a lot better before the TB12 bullshit
